A New Era in Human & Leadership Performance


Most boardrooms right now have a version of the same unfinished conversation. Someone raises AI, there's a murmur of agreement that something needs to happen, and then... nothing. The meeting moves on. The quarter ticks by, and the gap between where organisations are and where they sense they need to be quietly widens.


I don't believe this is laziness, but rather a paralysis of the weight of genuine uncertainty. Leaders are being pulled in two directions simultaneously; pressure from above to deploy AI at speed, and legitimate concern from their people about what that deployment means for their livelihoods and their sense of purpose. In that tension, stagnation can feel like the responsible choice. 


Whatever your position on AI in business is, one thing that is no longer up for debate is that AI is not going away, it's here to stay. I believe however, that the leaders who will shape the next decade will also be the masters of using AI for their own personal performance. So...


What can AI do for the individual leader, for the human being sitting inside the role?



Here at The Open Mind Institute we recently had the privilege of taking that question directly into a boardroom, delivering our AI Strategy Masterclass to the board of GIVIT, who are the remarkable Australian not-for-profit connecting generous donors with thousands of charities to ensure vulnerable Australians receive the assistance they need. Imagine an agent that holds your goals, understands your values and leadership style, and provides advice and interventions to keep you on track and when you need it most?! 



Now let's go one step further: connect it to your biofeedback devices, like your Apple watch or Oura Ring to monitor your HRV and track your sleep patterns, reading your physiology and psychology in real time. Your agent can then offer live interventions and cognitive performance suggestions tailored not just to your calendar, but to your actual state

Over time, it learns when you think most clearly, how stress is shaping your judgment, and what genuine recovery looks like for you. This is not a vision of the future. This is available now, and it is genuinely fascinating because we are at a juncture in humanity where we have the technology to take our leadership and cognitive performance to unprecedented heights. Used responsibility, this allows leaders to become the best version of themselves from which to lead others!
